There is a model that describes "Information,
Data, Knowledge, & Wisdom". In that order, I
myself describe it as going from "basic" to
"unique". Look it up, "DIKW Chart", there are
many variations, interpretations, and arguments
for these "models". However they're used,
whether they work, there is sense to be made of
them. "Models" are meant for you to study and
discover what works.
Information is all there is, however described,
it is what I consider real based of our senses.
Amongst information is organization, either
man-made or >naturally occurring, which is..
valuable data. Data in principle is valuable
information because its organized to reveal
patterns that are inherently "accurate predictions".
What succeeds data is knowledge; the know how,
"the order" in which you are aware of.
Its not some revelation. Not the truth.
Maybe just the "dunning-kruger effect" at play.
Knowledge that you know how something works
but not why? The "why" is the wisdom, the
"uniqueness" of being human. "Why" is our
survival trying to live optimally, meaning
we care much about growth and bliss. As if
optimization, the pursuit of making things
faster, more efficient, with less energy,
with zero loss, is all necessary for
trailing wisdom.
In this model, the "basic" is for computer,
and the "unique" is for human. On a chart,
the x-axis is for the "Understanding Entity"
and the y-axis is for the "Nature of Context".
I've noted that most of our emphasis will be
on computer-human symbiosis, and the feedback
loop is time within the order of this model.
As I digress, I like to believe this is a
universal model for a holistic view on where
you are as person and everything around.
Apply it to business, learning, or academia.
Wisdom is for the philosopher, the lover of
wisdom. Wisdom in my opinion is easy to
understand as truth, it is my best answer
to our most grand question "why?". It is
unique to humans, maybe for all things that
exist but im not there yet, so for now
wisdom is just for us, it is our greatest
asset, the long living wisdom that
continues to transcend.
Wisdom Is Our Greatest Asset
